Visit the interesting museum and pre-Inca ruins at Tulipe. 

Vist the butterfly garden in Mindo for a full picture of how butterflies develop.  Can easily be combined with birding sites in and around Mindo.

Want something a bit more active?  Mindo offers zip lining, tubing, and other outdoor activities.  

Your cabin is right on site of Cloud Coffees coffee production/tourism facility.  Learn how coffee is grown, harvested and processed.  Each stay includes a coffee tour/tasting and a bag of coffee for the cabin.

The Alambi nature reserve has a great hike to a wonderful waterfall.  You can either do the hike one way from above the waterfall, or up and back from the cabin. 

Take a day or two to tour Quito before your birding trip.  Great historic old town, interesting churches, markets, and much more.  We can arrange guides and provide recommendations for lodging.
